Consumables

The LFC biodigester uses a series of processes in which micro­organisms break down biodegradable material in the presence of oxygen.

A medium inside the LFC biodigester — Powerchips — houses the microorganisms. In combination with our proprietary mixture of microorganisms and enzymes — Powerzyme — the digestion of food products is accelerated. These consumables have been designed by Power Knot to speed up digestion.

LFC Security Package

Available for the LFC-50 to LFC-500 biodigesters.

This option helps to prevent any unauthorized person from configuring, using, or otherwise tampering with the LFC biodigester.

NFC Card Reader

Available for all LFC biodigester models, including previous generations.

  • Can use NFC cards and NFC tags to operate the reader
  • Identify the person using the machine, the source of the waste, or the type of waste
  • Automatically create reports on the color touch screen of the LFC biodigester and on the LFC Cloud that are broken down by the card or tag that is used
  • Show the carbon footprint for each category of waste
  • Prevent unauthorized users from accessing the machine

Powerchips Green

Compatible with all LFC biodigesters, both land and marine, and most biodigesters.

  • Made entirely of organic material
  • No petrochemical (fossil) components used
  • Irregular shape to distribute water and oxygen to microorganisms to speed digestion
  • Highly porous to enable growth of microorganism colony to speed digestion

LFC Hands Free Switch

Available for LFC-300 and LFC-500 biodigesters; be installed on LFC-VIII generation and later

  • Select foot switch or bump switch — each is rated IP54
  • Foot switch is connected by cable to the LFC biodigester and can be repositioned for ease of use
  • Bump switch is large and positioned so users of all heights can easily access it
  • Can be used in conjunction with the NFC card reader so only authorized users can open the door

LFC Biodigester Options

  • Powerchips

    Powerchips Green are used in LFC biodigesters as a medium to speed the digestion of the food waste placed in the machine. These chips are highly porous to create an environment where the microorganisms in the Powerzyme can rapidly reproduce to digest the organic material faster.

  • LFC Security Package

    The LFC Security Package that can be ordered for LFC-50 to LFC-500 biodigesters. This updated option prevents unauthorized personnel from configuring, using, or tampering with the LFC biodigester. Six aspects of the LFC biodigester are modified with the security package option.

  • NFC Card Reader

    The NFC Card Reader is an optional add-on for the LFC biodigester, serving as a powerful data collection tool to track and analyze waste sources, types, and usage patterns.

  • Hands-Free Switch

    The LFC Hands-Free Switch is an optional add-on that improves hygiene, safety, and efficiency by allowing operators to open the LFC biodigester feed door without using their hands via foot or bump activation.
